Silicon Uptake and Phytolith Morphology in Dendrocalamus brandisii Seedling Leaf from Different Rearing Methods

چکیده

The moisture, ash, and silicon content, as well the phytolith morphotype concentration in tissue-cultured, seed-cultured, grafted seedling leaves of Dendrocalamus brandisii were determined to investigate differences uptake morphology from different rearing methods. results showed that higher mature leaves. Tissue-cultured seedlings had a significantly moisture content than seedlings. Ash demonstrated same order > tissue-cultured seed-cultured highest was found morphotypes D. raised by methods identical grouped into eight morphotypes. assemblage characterized high frequency bilobate saddle, accounting for more 60%, whereas elongate, blocky, flabellate, circular phytoliths accounted smallest proportion, normally all below 4.5%. size an increasing trend maturing sizes bilobate, acute expanded fastest leaves, implying rapid growth cell Accordingly, contained larger sizes, which could be better choice stock supply establishing large-scale plantations. If is used, fertilizer application optimal option boost growth.

Variability of Anatomical and Chemical Properties with Age and Height in Dendrocalamus brandisii

Dendrocalamus brandisii is an edible bamboo species found in Southwest China and South Asia. However, there is limited information about the anatomical and chemical information of its culms for its utilization and processing. In this paper, the anatomical and chemical properties of different age culms were determined. There are three vascular bundle types found in its culms. The radial length-t...

Isolation and Characterization of Soluble Polysaccharides of Dendrocalamus Brandisii: a High-yielding Bamboo Species

Nine soluble polysaccharide fractions were sequentially extracted with hot water at 80, 100, and 120 °C for 3 h, and 60% aqueous ethanol containing 0.25, 0.50, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00, and 5.00% NaOH at 80 °C for 3 h from dewaxed bamboo (Dendrocalamus brandisii) sample, and their chemical compositions and physicochemical properties were examined. The sequential treatments yielded 20.6% soluble polysac...

Effects of competition from young northern hardwoods on red pine seedling growth, nutrient use efficiency, and leaf morphology

Elliott, K.J. and White, AS., 1993. Effects of competition from young northern hardwoods on red pine seedling growth, nutrient use efficiency, and leaf morphology. For. Ecol. Manage., 57. 233255. The effects of competition from three northern hardwood tree species on red pine (Pinus resinosa Ait. ) seedlings were examined on two clear-cut sites in western Maine. We examined how planted red pine...

Uptake system of silicon in different plant species.

The accumulation of silicon (Si) in the shoots varies considerably among plant species, but the mechanism responsible for this variation is poorly understood. The uptake system of Si was investigated in terms of the radial transport from the external solution to the root cortical cells and the release of Si from the cortical cells to the xylem in rice, cucumber, and tomato, which differ greatly...
